Renaissance

During the early decades of the 16th century, Catalan painters, trained basically in the Gothic style, renewed their language by assimilating models and features of Flemish, German and Italian provenance or leanings. The foremost painting workshop in Vic was founded by Joan Gascó, originally from Navarre, very well represented in Room XII.
