Romanesque

Special mention should be made of the 12th-century altar frontals, which allow us to follow the stylistic and iconographic evolution of the Catalan painting of this period. Woodcarving from the Romanesque period is very well represented from both the stylistic and iconographic points of view. Outstanding the group of sculptures of the Romanesque Descent from the Cross from Santa Eulàlia, Erill la Vall, considered the masterpiece of 12th-century Catalan imagery.
