The Museum at the network

The Episcopal Museum of Vic is a member of several museum networks in both Spain and Europe, this enables it to cooperate on a common basis with similar bodies for the recovery, conservation and promotion of cultural heritage.

Network of art museums

The network of art museums of Catalonia was created 2014 with the aim of placing value and spreading Catalan artistic heritage. The network joins together the art museums in a common strategy in terms of documentation and conservation of the collections, activities, services and media campaigns, to achieve a greater social, scientific and tourist projection amongst the museum members.  

The following museums currently form part:

Network of European Medieval Art Museums

European Museums devoted to medieval art are entrusted with an important mission which is the constant renewal of knowledge in order to enhance and preserve the fascination for the Middle Ages. The Museo nazionale del Bargello (Florence, Italy), the Musée de Cluny (Paris, France), the Museum Schnütgen (Cologne, Germany) and the Museu Episcopal de Vic (Catalonia, Spain) initiated in 2011 a unique partnership. The main objective of it is the development of joint operations that illustrate the European dimension of the cultural heritage these museums represent and to get it through their public.
